Snap receipts with Dext and publish them to Xero as bills
The problem
A carrier bag of receipts every quarter, and hours of typing.
The result
Receipts and supplier invoices are captured in Dext and published to Xero Purchases with the status you choose.
How to set it up: Dext + Xero
- Connect Dext to your Xero organisation.
- Capture receipts with the Dext app, or forward supplier invoices to your Dext address.
- Review each item, then publish it to Xero as Draft, Awaiting Approval, Awaiting Payment or Paid.
- Find published bills in Xero under Purchases > Bills to pay.
Get AI to help you build it
Paste this into ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude:
I'm a UK bookkeeper onboarding a small client to Dext and Xero. Write a short client-facing guide: how to photograph receipts so they're readable, which documents to send (and which not to), and how often. Plain English, under 200 words.
