Log every new ServiceM8 job in a Google Sheet
- Set-up time15 min
- DifficultyEasy
- AppsServiceM8 Zapier Google Workspace
The problem
You want a simple running list of new jobs, for example emergency call-outs, that a partner or office helper can see without a ServiceM8 login.
The result
Each new job (optionally only one Job Category) adds a row to a shared Google Sheet.
How to set it up: Zapier
- Create a Google Sheet with headings, for example: Date, Customer, Address, Category, Description.
- Create a Zap with ServiceM8's 'New Job' trigger and, if you like, filter it by Job Category.
- Add a Google Sheets 'Create Spreadsheet Row' action and map the job fields to your columns.
- Test it with a dummy job, then switch the Zap on.
Get AI to help you build it
Paste this into ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude:
I want to log new ServiceM8 jobs into Google Sheets with Zapier, using the 'New Job' trigger. Suggest sensible column headings for a UK trades business, and a simple weekly summary formula (jobs per category per week) I can add on a second tab.
AI tools can get menu names wrong. Check against the sources below.
Before you start
- Think about what customer data you copy into a sheet and who can see it (UK GDPR).
